Villa Lanterna is located in Malinska on the island of Krk, a peaceful coastal town known for its crystal-clear sea, pine forests, and relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. A historic dry stone wall dating back over 160 years has been preserved at the front of the property as a tribute to the local heritage and the host family. It marks the old village path that once led through olive groves to the local church. The name “Lanterna” (Lighthouse) reflects three generations of family history and was also the name of the grandparents’ former restaurant. Malinska was historically a small port for timber export and later became a favored summer destination of the Viennese aristocracy, earning the nickname “the pearl of the Kvarner islands.” Today, the area is ideal for swimming, water sports, hiking, and cycling, with numerous marked trails and scenic coastal paths. The villa is conveniently located approximately 12 km from Rijeka Airport, and transfer can be arranged upon request. For safety reasons, the use of scooters, bicycles, skateboards, and rollerblades is not permitted on the pool terrace and surrounding tiled areas. These can be safely used in the parking area or nearby streets.
