The surrounding area is perfect for hiking, paragliding, horseback riding, sailing, swimming, cycling, and many other outdoor activities. Pure nature awaits you. The property is located approximately 70 meters above the Gyulakeszi Valley and only 4 km from the charming town of Tapolca (population approx. 15,000). The summit of the picturesque and romantic Csobánc Hill can be reached on foot in about 25 minutes directly from the house. At the top, you will find fascinating castle ruins and one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the entire Lake Balaton.

Geological and Natural Highlights of the Area The region is famous for its unique volcanic landscape. The impressive basalt columns and the surrounding hills are of volcanic origin, creating one of the most distinctive and beautiful landscapes around Lake Balaton. The mineral-rich volcanic soil also provides excellent conditions for viticulture, which is why vineyards and wineries are so common throughout the area. This northwestern part of Lake Balaton is widely regarded as the most beautiful section of the entire lake. The shoreline can be reached by car in just 10 minutes. The nearby town of Tapolca offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions. One of its most remarkable sights is the famous Lake Cave, a unique volcanic cave system with underground waterways that visitors can explore by rowing boat—an unforgettable experience. Horseback riding opportunities are available nearby, and every Sunday there is an excellent local farmers’ market offering regional products, fresh produce, and handcrafted goods. Antique lovers will also enjoy the area: unique antiques can be found both at the market and in a large 3,000 m² antique store located only 1.5 km away. Just 30 km away lies Hévíz, home to one of the world’s largest natural thermal lakes. The lake maintains a pleasant temperature of approximately 26–34°C (79–93°F) throughout the year, making it a popular destination in both summer and winter. Attention Amateur Astronomers and Stargazers Thanks to the virtually complete absence of light pollution, the night sky here is truly spectacular. On clear nights, the entire Milky Way is often visible to the naked eye, along with countless stars and constellations, including the Big Dipper in exceptional clarity.
