The Haven Katherina is located in Fonyódliget, a resort village on the south shore of Lake Balaton, in a quiet, peaceful environment, but close to the waterfront, about 6 minutes walk away. 6-8 minutes drive from the bustle of Fonyod and Balatonboglar. The family house was renovated in 2022, has 2 4x4 m bedrooms, a living room with a dining room with a flat screen TV, a very well equipped kitchen with appliances, a stylish modern bathroom with a toilet and 1 separate toilet in the guest part. The owner-occupied part of the house is separated by a soundproof door. One room has a modern Scandinavian-style flat-screen TV, the other room has neo-baroque furniture with intarsia inlays. Both rooms and the living room are air-conditioned. The living room with 6 banana chairs and a glass dining table offers a chilled space for lunch. Outside, guests can relax comfortably on the terrace and in the garden on the swing bed. Free parking is available on the hotel grounds, as well as off-street parking for multiple cars. Garden barbecue, cook-out in a cauldron will make your stay unforgettable. On request we can provide 3 lockable bicycles free of charge if you wish to explore the area.

The Haven Katherina is located about 6 minutes' walk from the free beach of Fonyódliget, called Árpád beach. This well-maintained beach, one of the longest on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, is approximately 2 km long and is accessible at any time. The beach has a playground, slide, kayak and pedal boat rental, snack bar, restaurant, beer bar, ice cream parlour, beach shops. Near the beach there is free parking, a train station, a bus stop and a convenience store. The Berek Visitor Centre can be visited on the way from the accommodation to the beach. The Fonyódi hill with its beautiful views, lookout, boat trips to almost the entire Balaton area and Badacsony hiking offers a special experience. In Balatonboglar, the unique Gömbkilató and its nearby adventure park entertains all ages. There are also horse riding possibilities in nearby Balatonfenyves and Látrány, about 15 minutes away by car.
