Our property is a very charming and well thought out three story building overlooking the beautiful Bohorok River. We have built our guesthouse with love as it is our home too!
Our property is in a perfect location for wading in the river, hiking the Gunung Leuser National Park to see the incredible orangutans or just passing the day in a hammock watching the wildlife in peace. You are in the heart of the jungle so will see many beautiful birds, monkeys, etc.
Our property is directly across from the stunning Bohorok river so your view will be not only of the river but a huge wall of jungle. It is absolutely beautiful.
Fadill can help you arrange ethical treks in the Gunung Leuser National PArk, any local trips as well as drivers and excursions outside our area.
Fadill manages Riverside Guesthouse. He was born and raised in and around Bukit Lawang. His family has lived here for generations and has a true love and connection with the area. Fadill has built his life around conserving the beautiful orangutans and their jungle home.
Bukit Lawang is such a special place and visitors always say what a magical place it is.
The town is about a mile long and is built on a cobblestone walkway filled with local restaurants and shops.
What makes Bukit Lawang extra special is the local residents. They are always smiling, kind and welcoming.
There are a variety of restaurants that serve not only local Indonesian dishes but also Western type meals.
We have small shops for buying drinks and snacks and a local outdoor market on Friday as well.
