We’ve lowered our prices by 25% for 2026 bookings as a government beach reclamation project is underway in Candidasa, creating a new 5.5-kilometer white sand beach, beachfront boulevard, and walkways. While the finished result will be spectacular, the beach experience is currently more limited, although it is still possible to swim from the beach just a few metres walk from the villa. There is no noise or construction in front of the villa. There are photos of the beach project at the end of the photo gallery. Everything else remains unchanged: the same beautiful villa, excellent food, gorgeous ocean views and warm Balinese service.
Villa Cocoa Maya is right on the ocean, fully serviced, staffed and catered (breakfast is included in your rate). We are not a self-catering villa but provide a reasonably priced a la carte menu - no need to lift a finger. The villa is set in a large, flat tropical garden. It's a 5-minute walk into central Candidasa, and is within easy access of all eastern Bali's sights (we have a car & driver for your use at an extra charge).
Candidasa, just 90 minutes from the airport, is a quiet fishing village that provides a perfect base to enjoy all the sights, and experience all the activities, that eastern Bali has to offer. It is often referred to as the Bali of old as it still represents all that is authentic and beautiful about the island. A world away from the commercialism of southern Bali, eastern Bali is all about beautiful rice terraces, volcano views, indigenous forests, and a warm ocean. Candidasa and eastern Bali have something for everyone (except the party animal!) from Balinese culture and adventure, to historically rich sights, and interesting activities.
