Everything was wonderful ! L’hôte était très accueillant et disponible. Pleins de bons conseils sur la région. Il y a d’ailleurs un livret prêt sur la table avec toutes les infos des choses à voir. Le chalet a l’air petit mais il est très cosy...

Marcus
Caherhurley Cabin is a quiet sanctuary on the East Clare walkway, where nature, history, and healing converge. The cosy well-equipped cabin offers a peaceful retreat for reflection and renewal. It is situated by an orchard with a view out to the Clare hills.
Marcus likes to make pottery from the local clay and plants. He has a three-legged rescue dog called Prince.
The cabin is located on the East Clare walkway in the Slieve Bearnagh mountain range so is ideal for hikers. The local village is Tuamgraney - home to Ireland's oldest church in continuous use (rebuilt by Brian Boru the High King of Ireland). There is a lovely pub, a chocolate factory and a woollen mill! The kitchen in the cabin was made in Tuamgraney. Scariff is next to Tuamgraney and has a great health food shop, fruit shop, grocery shop, a local butchers/fishmongers, a chemist, GP and vet - everything you need in a country town! Local places to eat include Nuala's in Tuamgraney, The Piper's Inn in Ogonnelloe and the vegetarian Co-Op café in Scarriff. The nearest supermarkets are in the towns of Killaloe and Ennis. The cabin is one hour away from the Atlantic coast of the Wild Atlantic Way and yet also close to the cities of Limerick and Galway. It is approximately 45 minutes from Shannon airport.
