Located in the heart of the market square, and under the shadow of St Brigids Cathedrel in Kildare town, Firecastle offers a grocers, a delicatessen, a bakery, café, cookery school & 10 en suite guest bedrooms. A brand new build Firecastle opened in late August 2020. Firecastle offers a wide selection of artisan goods with a take away breakfast and lunch served daily. We have a beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking the market square for guests to enjoy. Firecastle Lane is less than a 10 minute walk to Kildare Village outlet shopping and 15 minutes from the Irish National Stud! The Curragh racecourse & Newbridge Silverware are less than a 10 minute drive away! Our sister venue the award wining Hartes of Kildare is located just next door where guests can enjoy a fabulous meal! Our cookery school, visible through a large glass window separating the shop and the kitchen will allow our guests sample life in a working kitchen and whether you are a beginner wanting to learn new skills or a confident cook looking for inspiration, our tutors will offer a wide range of full-day, half-day and evening courses for every level.
