"Journey's End' is an oasis of peace and calm where the only noise on occasion is that of the wind, the waves and sweet birdsong. Gill takes great care of guests and the day to day running of the accommodation . She is a Fáilte Ireland accredited Tour Guide and always ready to help guests with tips on places to visit in County Clare and further afield. There is a small fridge available on the landing outside ‘The Ocean Suite’ and ‘The Flower Suite’ for visitors to store a few items and crockery and cutlery etc can be supplied if needed.
'Journey's End is located one mile from the nearest town, Miltown Malbay, which has Chemists, Supermarkets, Clothes Shop, a Haberdashery, Take Aways, great Pubs, Restaurants, four Cafes, one of which also sells delicious ice-creams. It also has a Post office, Second Hand bookstore and a Hardware store. There are two Petrol/Diesel Garages. Miltown Malbay is the home of traditional Irish music with live music on a nightly basis during the summer months and on various nights in the week all year round. White Strand beach is a 3 minute walk from the Accommodation and is a very safe beach for swimming. Lifeguards are on duty daily during July and August and at various times during June and September. The larger beaches of Spanish Point and Lahinch are a short drive away as are the links golf courses at Spanish Point and Lahinch (Irish Open 2019). The Cliffs of Moher are a 25 minute drive away and Doolin, from where you can catch boats to the Aran Islands, a 35 minute drive.
