Before booking please note that we are a family site and have a QUIET TIME OF 11PM. Guests who breach this rule will be asked to leave. Nestled into the rolling hills of Loughcrew is where you will find our luxurious glamping site. We are a small family run site in operation since 2015. We originally started with just one glamping yurt and have increased this to 6 due to popular demand. Our yurts have been finished to the highest standard. Our luxurious white bed linen and locally sourced beds aim to give you all the comfort of a hotel bed but amongst nature instead! Each yurt comes fitted with a wood burning stove to keep you and your family cosy and warm throughout the evening. Plug points are provided to keep you connected with the outside world, however we recommend you sit back, relax and switch off for your stay in Loughcrew. Outside your yurt you will find your personal fire pit complete with a grill for bbq. Our communal campers kitchen also has additional cooking facilities including fridge, freezer, microwave and gas hobs. We have an onsite playground and games room - pool table, fuseball & air hockey. Also onsite we have tea rooms & gift shop.

Loughcrew Megalithic Centre is uniquely located at the Loughrew Cairns which is the highest point in the Boyne Valley but also just a few minutes from County Cavan and County Westmeath. This means there are so many things to do nearby and within an hour of our centre. Some of the most popular things to do and visit include; The Loughcrew Cairns, Tayto Park, Fore Abbey, Loughcrew Fairy Trail, Hill of Tara, Mullaghmeen Forest, Cavan Kayak Centre, Navan Adventure Centre, Newgrange, Lough Lene, Trim Castle and Cavan County Museum. The Loughcrew cairns are over 5000 years old and are only a short walk from the glamping site. Once at the top you will be at the highest point in the Boyne Valley with incredible 360degree views of the Irish countryside. Our nearest town is Oldcastle approx 6km from the site. Here you will find a number of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. Local taxi drivers operate in the area. A short 15minute drive will take you to many of Cavan's lakes, ideal for fishing and swimming. Tayto Park is a 50minute drive and is extremely popular for children and adults alike.
