A very special Home from Home. Lynster House boasts unique gardens, international artworks, fantastic cooking ..on request. Elizabeth happy to offer guided tours of the area, locate old family connections, if you have ancestral history in Monaghan. And an added plus of a Harp recital. Lynster House is, without question, unequalled in North Monaghan. Large bedrooms, all individually presented with discerning design, fabrics and furnishings. Elizabeth is also the Mammy of the Mad About Monaghan project and has her finger on the pulse of Monaghan.... worth a look online. She will be delighted to organise a full or partial itinerary for you to enjoy the best of the hidden gems and activities in and around Monaghan and further afield including Belfast, Dublin, Game of Thrones centre etc. There are four more rooms available to reserve at Lynster House plus we have our own site We are pet friendly but you must request in advance by message or phone.
Customer service is paramount. Im a happy, outgoing people-person. Nothing is a problem..and if you have a problem, or issue which needs attention, I will happily assist to help remedy..I genuinely live to make people happy and put a smile on their face. I like food, nature, music, art, storytelling...and I put my guests at the centre of my day. My background is music, the Arts in general. From a farming background. I am very well travelled and have a world view on many things. I love laughter and have a wicked sense of humour. Come and stay and leave happy out!! We are 3 mins drive from centre of monaghan town. Four seasons hotel westenra hotel and hillgrove all just a few minutes. Also Glaslough village and the fab Castle Leslie Estate is short drive. For me 11 mins.. for guests maybe few mins more. There is so much to see and do here... and monaghan allows you easy access to Dublin, Belfast &north west Donegal. Also Newgange megalithic tombs are just easy hour drive. Also the forgotten village of Mullan.. now being lovingly restored by a local man... just 5 mins from emyvale or Glaslough or 15 mins from monaghan. Great pubs, hotels, restaurants, nightlife should you wish for some nocturnal fun... Monaghan is not quite the centre of tourism hub in Ireland, however it has stunning farmlands, fun people and warm hospitality abounds. Nature walks, rivers and lakes. Small artisan businesses...three fantastic equestrian centres...also the home of Rally School Ireland is only 5 mins away. Rossmore park, the Drumlin giants for kids of all ages to enjoy. International award winning Holstein Fresian farm. Annamakerrig..the former home of Sir Tyrone Guthrie..now a famous Artists retreat. Hollywood & Emylake are two fab swimming experiences
