Mount Alohert House is located at the foothill of Carrauntoohil, Ireland’s tallest mountain. Guests can enjoy spectacular views of the McGillycuddy’s Reeks, glacial lakes and stone walled pastures. The property is situated among some of Ireland’s best hiking trails and the world renowned Kerry landscape. Having recently undergone an extensive refurbishment this home is the perfect warm, modern and refreshing environment for our guests.
I live right next door to the property and will be available anytime to address any queries that may arise during your stay.
***Please be aware that booking. com automatically calculates the distance to amenities but they are often quite incorrect and they state that “distances are measured in straight lines. Actual travel distances may vary”**** The property is 18 km from Killarney town centre. 8.5km to the Gap of Dunloe. 25km to Muckross house. 21km to Ross Castle. The nearest shop and petrol station is a 5 minute drive away. A car is essential. This house is situated on a working farm in Beaufort at the end of a private road, hence it is very quiet and safe for walkers and children.
