The cottage is rural, you will need a car, and it is not suitable for children under 12. The refurbished 200 year old stone milking parlour has become a unique self contained studio, an oasis of peace, perfect for couples or for a meditation or creative break, a base for your Irish travels, or seeing the local ancient sacred sites. It is not available for parties, and not safe for young children, due to to the ponds, the hot stove fireplace, farm animals, uneven surfaces etc. I am happy to offer you local site seeing suggestions and you can contacted me with any questions. I am here to make sure you have the best time possible!
I am widely traveled and love welcoming guests, as well as being one, all over the world. My cottage in the Irish countryside is a haven of peace and tranquility. I want you to enjoy your experience, and am here if there is anything I can do to make your trip better. I am always contactable even when I am travelling and not there in person. I send videos with instructions and a guide book on the property which explain everything.
Located in the center of Ireland, this is a perfect jumping off point to see all the sites and come back to your relaxing peaceful space. This is a farming area and lake district, near many historical and archaeological attractions as well as areas of great natural beauty. We are surround by Irish sacred sites and between 5 min and one hour of here we have Lough Lene fishing lake and beach, Fore Abbey, Tullynully Castle, Killua Castle, Lough Crew and New Grange Neolithic tombs, Trim Castle - where Braveheart was filmed. It is very quite, so if you just want a break to relax and read a book in hammock and sit by the fire at night, it is ideal. The only neighbours are cows and birds! You will really need a car to get around, there is no public transport within walking distance.
