The Old Cottage was a highlight of our stay in Ireland. As we traveled around the country we stayed in some wonderful B&B's, cabins, guest houses, and even a castle. All of them were wonderful and we've written some glowing reviews. However,...

The location was great. We rented a car in Shannon and the countryside drive to this cottage was such a breath of fresh air after our stay in Dublin. It's right up the road from Doolin, where we walked the Cliffs trails and saw some stunning views.

Cute little property just outside of the village. Elaine was extremely friendly and gave awesome recommendations. There was a little continental breakfast in the morning for takeaway. Perfect for our stop over.

The peace and quiet of the location was amazing. It is close enough to drive to the amenities within minutes but away enough to embrace the calm. The cottage is very authentic but has been decorated in a lovely stylish way bringing it up to date....

Elaine was wonderful! Such a great host, the cottage was very clean and comfortable. Very quiet and beautiful surroundings. Very close to Doolin Ferry for Aran islands access and cliffs of Moher. Most definitely would stay here again!!

My name is Elaine and I am a native of the city of Derry, but I've just relocated 5hrs south to a gorgeous traditional Irish cottage in Doolin, Co. Clare. My new home. A little about me. I started travelling when I was 18 years old, so I'm very aware of what I like when staying as a guest in a hotel, bed and breakfast, hostel; location and cleanliness feature high on the list. So far I have travelled to Thailand, Iceland, Nepal, Scandinavia, Africa, Tasmania, Hong Kong, China, Australia, many countries in mainland Europe, North America, and all over Ireland and Britain. Photography is my passion but I also love yoga, reading, cycling and hillwalking. I also love my country, the richness of our history, music, culture is unequalled anywhere I've ever been. I look forward to hosting you in my cottage.
Delightful double room ensuite in a traditional Irish cottage with good parking facilities. My cottage is a few minutes drive from the heart of Doolin village, set in quiet and peaceful surroundings yet easily accessible to Doolin's great dining, cafe, and traditional music scene. 15mins from Cliffs of Moher, 30mins by sea to the Aran Islands, 5 mins to The Burren , 90 minutes from Galway, 60 mins from Shannon. Your stay includes a light continental breakfast to kick start your day. It is essential to have a car to get around to the local sites.
