The guest house is located in an upscale locality and the mighty Brahmaputra river flows outside our property. This upscale area houses the residences of the state's Governor, the Chief Justice of the state High Court, the Deputy Commissioner's among others. Overall, we are in a serene, green and safe locality. Each bedroom is air-conditioned, well lighted and ventilated via big windows ! The washrooms/bathrooms are modern and well maintained for hygiene and cleanliness. Hot and cold water is available round the clock and housekeeping is a daily affair and free ! The Umananda Island(Peacock Island) is the smallest inhabited river islet in the world(as per Google) and it lies in the middle of the river and is clearly viewable from our Riverview rooms !! The island is easily accessible by ferries and boats which ply between the city and the island, its just a 10-15minutes ride. It is considered a holy site by Buddhists. One can also enjoy rides on the ropeway cable-car which plies between this side(South Guwahati) and North Guwahati...the ropeway terminus is a 5-10 minute walk away from our property ! Many decent dine-in restaurants and street food vendors abound the neighborhood and a huge variety of foods, ice cream, beverages etc are available to satiate every palate !

The Assam State Museum, the Dighalipukhuri pond, the Ugratara temple with its twin-ponds are also in a similar distance from here. Whereas, the Gauhati High Court, Guwahati Planetarium and the General Post Office etc are barely a 5minute walk from the property. The Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture is located adjacent to our property and there are regular Yoga workshops, book release and award functions, cultural discourses, musical shows etc conducted by amateurs and experts alike ! Many eateries and street food vendors abound the neighborhood and a huge variety of foods and beverages are available to satiate every palate !
