Company info

We are a couple living on a farm close to Egilsstaðir. We know East Iceland very well and we want to be as helpful as possible to our guests. We live on the farm across the road, around 300 meters from the cottage. We are not far away, and you can always contact us here on the site, by phone, or just drop by.

Property info

Ábót is a beautiful cottage located 9 km from Egilsstadir, East Iceland. It sits on the banks of Rangá river (where guests can fish for free). The cottage has sleeping facilites for five people. Ideal for families or groups.

Neighborhood info

Our cottages are located right outside Egilsstaðir town. Around Egilsstaðir are many beautiful Fjords, such as Borgarfjörður Eystri (there you can see puffins) and Seyðisfjörður. Also there are a lot of hiking trails both in walking distance from the cottage and short car-rides away, we really recommend Hengifoss which is about 35 km from the cottage.
