The property is located in Ásaskóli which is an old school building that has been renovated as a private home. It is 4 km from Árnes where you can find a small grocery store.
The two bedroom apartment is situated on the ground floor of the property and has a private entrance. It can accommodate up to 6 people. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave oven. In the main bedroom is a double bed and a single bed. In the second bedroom there are two single beds. The living room has a Flat screen TV and a sofa bed. Some board games are there to enjoy. Terrace with Barbecue and outdoor furniture. There is also a hot tub available for the guests as well as a pétanque field. Free WiFi is available.
The owners who live at the property are professional singers that moved from Reykjavík to the countryside to enjoy the life "away from it all". Their main interest is music, theater and all kinds of art. They also love to travel.
Ásaskóli is a quiet place but centrally situated for many interesting places. You can visit Gullfoss and Geysir, Landmannalaugar, Hekla, Skálholt, Þingvellir and yet come home to Ásaskóli in the evening and even watch the Northern lights from the hot tub. There are also beautiful waterfalls to visit in the neighborhood such as Háifoss and Hjálparfoss.
