Located on the shores of Lake Mývatn, right by Dimmuborgir lava formations and the crater Hverfjall. Established in 2006, the family-run guesthouse provides accommodation in cottages and double rooms with private facilities. All guests at Dimmuborgir Guesthouse have access to cooking facilities and free Wi-Fi connection. From the guesthouse you will have easy access to Lake-Mývatn and multiple hiking routes. The guesthouse has an excellent location for the northern lights and our guests have access to a glass hall, very ideal for relaxing and waiting for the lights. The pond in front of the hall creates very special photo opportunities since it does not completely freeze during winter. Sightseeing tours to lake-Mývatn are offered from the guesthouse. These tours offer a great opportunity to explore the nature and history of this special lake. Truly a birdwatchers must! Additionally you can take a look at a traditional Icelandic smokehouse and try fresh or smoked trout :)
