Whales are occasionally spotted in the fjord, adding to the charm of this remote setting. There is no grocery shop in the village, so it’s best to bring supplies in advance. The closest shops are in Vopnafjörður (30 km) and Þórshöfn (40 km). In the summer months, you can have a meal at the small local restaurant, and fuel is available at the village gas station. The cabin has free private parking just outside and is easily accessible year-round. Pets are not allowed.
