Description: The Cabin is located at the farm named Steinnýjarstaðir which is about 10 km north of Skagaströnd. When you turn in to road 74 , you follow that road until you reach Skagaströnd, do not turn left but keep going straigt on road nr 745 all the way to the sign where it says Steinnýjarstaðir, Fjallagisting and Langavatn. Turn right at the sign and drive 2 km there is the cottage. The cottage offers accommodation for 6 adults. There are two beds: 140cm and 120cm. There is also baby bed and two extra mattresses. Tableware for 10 persons. 32" TV and a good stereo in the house. There is a patio by the cottage. About 5 km from the cottage is a popular fishing lake called Langavatn and licences are sold at the farm. A great place to start a walk around Skagaheiði. The cottage is located about 10 km from Skagaströnd and 35 km from the town Blönduós. Keys of the cottage are on the farm. Check ins are at 4 pm and check outs at 12 pm. Bed sheets are included Towels are included The cottage has to be cleaned before leaving but cleaning is available for 7.000 ISK.
We are a farmer family, with 50 cows , 30 calves, 40 sheep, 10 chicken ,and 1 cat (Mjása). The hostess live and work at the farm.
The views from the cottage are breathtaking with mountains in the back and clear seaview in the front. During the summer the cows spend their time outside and the sheep spend their time up in the mountain.
