Gesthús Selfoss is a family firm in the heart of Selfoss. The place is surrounded by high trees that give it privacy and quietness. Sometimes we say we are the best kept secret of Selfoss. We are proud of what we offer; 22 rooms in wooden bungalows and 2 luxury summerhouses. The bungalows fit 1 -3 adults and they have private entrance, kitchenette and WC with shower. The guests have free access to geothermal hot tubs, washing machine, dryer and WiFi. The summerhouses are more luxurious with 2 bedrooms, private hot-tub, fully equipped kitchen and big terrace. Of course there are plenty enough parking spots for our guests for free. ICELAND IS A LEADER IN RENEWABLE ENERGY Icelanders are pioneers in the use of geothermal energy for space heating, with 90% of Icelandic households heated with geothermal water. Clean and affordable hot water is brought directly from boreholes to houses via pipelines. The remaining buildings are heated with electricity from renewable sources. The water smells of sulfa. The cold water is the best in the world. You can drink it straight from the tap. You don't have to buy water in Iceland, refill your bottle anywhere and reduce the use of plastic.

What makes us unique is that we are alone in the forest, but really close to downtown, the swimming pool, supermarket etc. Our chickens are walking around, children playing and birds singing.
