The owners of Grenivík Guesthouse aim to welcome their guests with a warm and friendly service. They are happy to assist their guests in any way they can. For example they can show their guests their horses that are only a short walk away from the guesthouse, they are happy to assist people with their travel plans and give them the information they need about the surrounding area and Iceland and the life here. There is also the possibility of renting kayaks at Grenivík Guesthouse.

Grenivik is a small fishing village with about 250 habitants by the fjord Eyjafjordur in North Iceland. It has many attractions nearby and is near to some of the most popular hiking trails in the country. The mountain Kaldbakur rises over the town, lending a distinct feature to the area. There is also a golf course close by as well as a horse rental called Pólarhestar. Not far from Grenivik, at Laufás, there is a unique turf farmhouse, built in the 19th century and a prime example of the old architecture. It functions as a folk museum, bearing great witness to the old ways of farm living. Laufás also has a beautiful church built in 1865.
