Surrounded by Nothing, yet Everything!
Sitting on a mountain hill in the bottom of a valley carved by glacier during ice-age, Hidden Cottages have been there for a long time. Through the years, they have been housing skiers traveling through air in winter and hikers in summer. The cottages are build with wall-high glasses for absolute intake of the view around. They are situated in a northern fjord, at the Troll Peninsula, in a location that is not well known and therefore the surrounding nature is untouched and breathtaking no matter the season.
We are eager to promote Iceland's best features in the North: Nature, Secret Places and Experiences.
Neighborhood info
The neighbourhood is the wast valleys and mountains that are in the bottom of fjord Ólafsfjörður. There are rivers, waterfalls and a hot-spring nearby, as well as a horse farm where guests can go for horse back riding tours. The cottage is in a perfect location for mountain skiing and cross-country skiing. There are great routs for snowmobiling as well as a lot of hiking trails. Lake Ólafsfjörður is popular for fishing and skating. Town Ólafsfjörður is only 10min away (by car) with basic services and activities. Activities and museums are nearby, such as Jetskiing tours, herring museum, ski lifts, fat-bike tours, kayaking rentals, whale watching, geothermal pool/water-park, beer spa, sea swimming, and more.
