Apt. Hotel Hjalteyri is located in North Iceland. It is in a beutiful and calm place only 22 km away from Akureyri, the capital of the bright and beautiful North. We offer spacious accommodation for 16-20 adults and a nice bistro/café. This is a family run apartment hotel and our team of staff is eager to provide excellent service to make your holiday both relaxing and rememberable.

Apt. Hotel Hjalteyri stands on a hill just two kilometres away from the nice little village Hjalteyri. The view over Eyjafjordur, the mountains and the environment around is breathtaking. In the 20th century Hjalteyri was one of Iceland‘s most promising fishing villages with a big herring factory but today it is a beautiful quiet village where you can take a nice sightseeing walk, play in the field, dive with a professional diver, go kayaking or just relax in the hot tub next to the Atlantic-ocean.
Akureyri is only 22 km away with its 20.000 inhabitants and diverse restaurants, shopping and activities. Also we have Dalvík, Ólafsfjörður, Siglufjörður, Hofsós, Sauðárkrókur, Húsavík and Lake Mývatn in the neighbourhood.
