Experience the closeness to Lake Mývatn, with its amazing bird life, and wild nature. Rent a house with history in the walls, and a garden of 1.3 acres by the shoreline of Lake Mývatn with great view.
The two bathrooms and two bedrooms are on the lower floor. The stairs down have higher steps than regulations require. Walking up and down the stairs can be difficult for the elderly and disabled.
The first bedroom has a double bed. The other has a double bed and a single bed.
It is possible for two people to sleep on a sofa bed in the TV room. If guests want to have bed linen put on the sofa bed, they must ask for it.
In 2024, we renewed the windows and doors in the house. New parquet was installed on the floors. And a new kitchen with a dishwasher and a microwave.
The house is centrally located and thereby close to lot of famous attractions. It is within a walking distance to Dimmuborgir, Hverfjall, Grjótagjá and Höfdi and more. Akureyri, Húsavík, Dettifoss, Godafoss, Ásbyrgi, Hljóðaklettar og Aldeyjarfoss are all within about 1.5 hours drive from Geiteyjarströnd.
