Property info

The Herring House is a cozy residence for tourists and travelers around Iceland. We offer you a place to stay in the northernmost town in Iceland, Siglufjörður. Perfect place to wash your day off in our hot tub and outdoor shower and enjoy the fresh Icelandic mountain air. We are only a few minutes walk from the town´s center and main attractions. Looking forward to hosting you and give you the best experience we can offer - we live on the upper floor and are always available for our guests. Helga & Dagur

Neighborhood info

Siglufjörður is well located on top of the Troll Peninsula, the northernmost town in Iceland. There are endless walking, hiking and biking trails in the mountains, with spectacular views over the peninsula. We are also very proud of our new golf course and our popular ski area; Skarðsdalur, where you can find the longest slope in Iceland. The Troll Peninsula is also very popular for ski-touring - here you can ski from the top of the mountain all the way down to the beach. In town we have the international awarded "Herring Era Museum", Frida´s Chocolate Café, Barber´s Bar, Segull, a local brewery, fish shop with delicious "Fish & Chips", indoor and outdoor swimming pools, restaurants and bars. You can also enjoy kayaking or angle fishing in the sea, in a lake close by and in the towns creak. What a great place.
