Company info

Guesthouse Lyngholt was opened in 1999 and has always been owned by the same family. Lyngholt has a total of 3 properties and can accommodate up to 20 people. Lyngholt is the main house, Cave apartment is located right next to Lyngholt and Thorshamar is a few hundred meters away by the sea side. We try to make sure that every guest feels at home and enjoys the time spent in this little fishing village in the north.

Property info

Thorshamar is a old renovated house by the sea in Þórshöfn. The house has two double bedrooms, one room with two single beds and one room with a 140 cm bed. The bathroom has a walk in shower and a washer and a drier. Towels and linen are included. The kitchen was renovated in 2021 and is super nice. During the summer until mid August, breakfast is served at the local N1 convenience store, only a two minute walk from the house. After mid August, breakfast is placed in the kitchen and is self service.The sea view is amazing.

Neighborhood info

There are many beautiful hiking routs in our neighborhood, both in Langanes and Raudanes. This is an ideal location for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Many deserted farms in Langanes, very interesting to explore. Not much traffic (not yet anyway) you may find yourself alone from time to time and no other tourist in sight :) Very relaxing and rare. The village itself is quite small and everybody knows everybody there. You could call it a typical icelandic fishing village where everybody is going about their business as usual.
