Agriturismo Casa Gialla Lipari is a typical example of Aeolian peasant architecture, it has 8 rooms, with bathroom and terrace, where you can see the sea. At Casa Gialla you can taste the typical food of the Sicilian-Aeolian tradition, with our vegetables. In the cozy and hospitable atmosphere of our farmyard, you will find the rich cuisine in Mediterranean flavors. The memory will remain in the heart together with the moments spent with us. The farm is an excellent point of departure for trekking or walking's lovers. Convenient to the most beautiful paths of the island that will lead you in breathtaking landscapes of olive trees, prickly pear, heather, strawberry trees, dwarf palms and then volcanic rocks, pumice and obsidian, and then dive into the navy. Casa Gialla has dedicated part of its work to the recovery of culture and local rural traditions, setting up the "CASA MUSEO DELLA TRADIZIONE EOLIANA", with the equipment and tools of the time. The visit is reserved for guests of the farm and anyone who requests it with a reservation.

Bartolo was born in Lipari from one of the oldest peasant families on the island. After graduating from high school he worked for several years at a prestigious Aeolian hotel acquiring a wide experience in the tourist-receptive field. But its greatest ambition has always been to return to the origins of the lifestyle on the island, which has resulted in the renovation of an ancient family tenement that dates back to the nineteenth century. He committed to resume traditional agriculture, which the modern lifestyle was forgetting. He loves history and he doesn't miss to share with guests the culture and traditions of our islands. For trekking's lovers Casa Gialla offers many opportunities to discover breathtaking trails along the ancient paths.

Agriturismo Casa Gialla is on a plateau in the hamlet of Pianoconte. It's 5 km from the old town and Lipari's harbor, served by public transport (one stop is right in front of our house). The country road is easily traveled by car or scooter. There are no secondary roads or dirt roads. In the town there are also a super-market, bars, restaurants, pizzerias and a post office. Before entering the hamlet you can enjoy the most beautiful panorama of "Quattrocchi", an extraordinary view where you can see over the stacks and the beach of "Valle I Muria", the great crater of Vulcano with the Sicilian coast in the background and Etna. In the hamlet you can also visit on foot the ancient Mycenaean-Roman baths with their 3500 years of history are the oldest spa-archaeological site in the entire Mediterranean.
