Offering 200 acres of grounds, a swimming pool and elegant accommodations with wood-beamed ceilings, Hotel Podere Conti is a 17th century-stone farmhouse overlooking the Apennines. Hotel Podere Conti is a working farmhouse located in Tuscany's Lunigiana area, part of Tuscany- Emilia Apennines National Park. All rooms and apartments have balconies with panoramic views of the surrounding green hills. With a choice of both rooms and apartments, accommodations here are extra-large and come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, teakettle and a private bathroom. Apartments also have a fully equipped kitchenette. Guests can enjoy local Tuscan specialties at the restaurant, which also serves a large buffet breakfast. You will also find a game room and playground. Hotel Podere Conti Agriturismo is easily reached from the A15 highway and a 30 minute drive from La Spezia and the Cinque Terre on the coast of Liguria.

Company info

Cornelia is a British national born in Belgium to a Dutch mother and English father. Her husband Corrado is Italian (Milano) and they met in the Middle East where they lived before buying and renovating this 17th century estate.

Property info

Corrado and Cornelia Conti bought the property in 2003, moving there in 2007 to oversee the final restoration with their boys. Podere Conti opened its doors in 2009 and is furnished with furniture and decorations that the Contis collected whilst living abroad in the Middle East.

Neighborhood info

Lunigiana, otherwise known as the undiscovered Tuscany, is relatively underdeveloped in terms of tourism meaning that its towns and villages retain their authentic charm. Prices are more affordable here and logistically it is very centrally located to make day trips to the Cinque Terre, Versilia/Pisa, Parma or to explore local sites.
