The host was born in the UK but has moved to Italy after living in Australia for over 20 years. his partner (Justine) is from Melbourne. They moved to Tuscany in February 2020 and have many improvements to the agriturismo.
Simon and his partner live on the property in a separate villa and are available at all times to help with your stay.

Agriturismo I Poggilunghi offers farm stay accommodation with eight romantic self-contained holiday apartments located in central Tuscany. Set on 6.5Ha of elevated private land, surrounded by olive trees and private woodland, the property benefits from panoramic views on all sides
This pet friendly holiday destination facilities include: a large swimming pool with terrace, bbq/pizza oven, private bar area, mini-shop, dog run, laundry facilities and reception. Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, with hi-speed Wi-Fi and flat screen smart television.
This stone built property originally consisted of three separate houses before it was later converted to an agriturismo whilst still retaining many of its traditional Tuscan features throughout. The majority of the holiday apartments are to be found in the main two-storey building with a one-bedroom apartment located in an outhouse at the front of the main building. The friendly English/Australian owners live on-site in a further outbuilding and are therefore available at all times to assist you during your stay.

Il palazzo di Monte è in pietra serena a bugnato nel piano terreno e di ordine ionico al primo piano con finestre a frontone triangolare e ricurvo. Il cortile interno con loggiato a tre archi ha due caratteristici pozzi. La parte tergale, che si affaccia su un grazioso giardino pensile, è più tarda: fatta costruire da Giovanni Maria Di Monte nipote di Antonio, è opera di Nanni di Baccio Bigio. All'interno del palazzo, un tempo superbamente arredato, si trovano una preziosa porta del '500 intagliata da Fra' Giovanni da Verona nell'attuale Sala Consiliare (quest'ultima è dipinta con affreschi degli stemmi delle più note famiglie savinesi) e, lungo i corridoi del piano superiore, una piccola galleria di ritratti di personaggi illustri di Monte San Savino e di membri delle famiglie regnanti di Toscana il nucleo più antico dei quali risale alla metà del XVII secolo.
