Riolunato is located in the province of Modena, on the shore of a beautiful artificial lake created by a dam. The area is known for the presence of Monte Cimone, the most important in all of Emilia Romagna; it is not only an ideal territory for trekking and fishing but also for the practice of winter sports. The ski lifts that allow you to reach the summit are in fact found in a fraction of Riolunato, the locality LE POLLE. From Riolunato with skiing you can also get to ABETONE; Sestola, Fanano, Montecreto. In Riolunato also has many services to offer: grocery stores, bank, pharmacy, library, tourist office, bars, restaurants / pizzerias, newsagents, the gas station, and a large playground for children. Parties and festivals and events throughout the year, (some examples: Coccin Coccetto at Easter, May of the Girls in May, Lunario Fest in July, the Feast of Ricotta in October, ....)
