Hi! My name is Cinzia and I live in Vicchio (Mugello, Tuscany) with my husband Aldo. Once reached the "forties" (... "anta" in Italian), we both decided to "have a change" of our lives and leave home and works in search for a special place to put roots. After a long search, we found this little corner of paradise and we have been felt in love with it at first sight. We have the same love for nature, art and cycling, especially for the great Italian Champions of the past. Our rooms are a tribute to their achievements and we would like to share our passions with our guests. Aldo will be pleased to show you our little collection of vintage bicycles and to tell you some interesting stories about "heroic" cycling!

B&B Le Due Volpi offers the traveller a peaceful and relaxing stay in a comfortably restored farmhouse set in stunning Tuscan landscape: rolling hills, olive trees, grapevines, green fields, sweeping views are all within sight. The sleepy village of Vicchio is just down the road.

Neighborhood info

The rolling hills of this little-known Tuscan region, the Mugello, are dotted with little hamlets often built in function of a Medici villa or castle, Scarperia, Vicchio and S. Agata and San Piero a Sieve to name a few. The famous Mugello circuit race track features several important events throughout the year, including the famous Moto Grand Prix in May. And, of course, for the culture-vultures Florence is just an hour's train ride away, while Siena, Lucca and Pisa are within easy reach and ideal for a day's excursion. The Appenine peaks frame the valley, and offer wonderful occasions for trekking, mountain biking, and far reaching vistas. Wind surfing and some sailing are also available on Lake Bilancino, just a 30 minute car ride from us, and are a refreshing alternative to a hot summer's day. For the shopping fanatic, the nearby McArthur Glen outlet mall is a must!
