I am Pino Tinti and I manage the B&B Solanas. At the end of my professional career I decided to take a new challenge on the island where I was born. I spent many years abroad and I speak fluently English and German, while I can have easy conversations in French and Spanish.   My goal is to offer my guests a comfortable and relaxing environment enjoying a familial atmosphere.   My interests vary from music, films and books to sport, tecnology, politics, religion and cooking. I love cycling, sailing, vintage cars and DIY.

B&B Solanas is located in the village of Cabras, on the west coast of Sardinia. The district includes over 30 km of shore line and 2 islands, Mal di Ventre and Catalano.   Through the preservation and restoration of a traditional Campidano valley house, we have created an ideal resort for your holiday in Sardinia. Local materials such as basalt, sandstone, Orosei marble and ancient granito tyles have been used. Doors, windows, gratings, decorations, ornamental friezes and colours strictly follow the Cabras' architectural tradition.   The family lodging and the large breakfast room are located at the ground floor casa while the B&B rooms are at the first floor. An independent pedestrian entrance allows direct access of the guests to their room.   Space for motorbikes, bikes, surfs and other objects is available. A free outdoor shower can help refreshing or cleaning from sand. Any valuable items can be stored in a safe inside your personal box.

Culture: the dolmen ("nuraghe"), the archaeological site of the Phoenician-Punic-Roman Tharros, the "giants" of Mont'e Prama, the churches of San Giovanni, San Salvatore and Cabras, the numerous Spanish towers along the coast, majestic portals of noble manors, here everything is passion for history. Beaches: you can choose between the large equipped sandy beach of Torregrande inside the gulf and those on the coast such as San Giovanni, Funtana Meiga and Portu Suedda. A clear sand with rose and white quartz pebbles characterizes the beaches of Maimoni, Is Aruttas and Mari Ermi. Bikers: the routes for MTBs and road bikes vary in type and difficulty: from the paths and roads on the coast, around ponds and along the river Tirso, to ascents to the Monte Arci and Montiferru. Still waters: the river Tirso, the Gulf of Oristano and the ponds of the Sinis peninsula offer ideal locations for activities of bird-watching, fishing tourism, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking. Folk festivals: Sa Sartiglia (medieval race to the ring) is held for Carnival, while the Barefoot run, the Bottarga (Sardinian caviar) Festival and the event "Musical notes in the lagoon" are held during the summer.
