Neighborhood info

A small medieval hilltop village located in the beautiful region of Molise, Italy. First the Samnites, then the Romans, followed by the Goths, the Lombards, the Saracens, the Byzantines, and finally the Normans who arrived in the 11th century. All these periods of conquest and defeat are the foundation of life of modern day Castelbottaccio. Castelbottaccio has its share of beautiful historic churches, Five in total. These holy places are dedicated to Saint Oto, Saint Giusta, Saint Rocco, Madonna of Carmelo, and the oldest and grandest of them all, Holy Mary of Grace (Santa Maria Della Grazie)
