Historic residence meticulously restored in an essential and elegant style, which preserves intact the splendor of its authenticity. Borgo delle Dimore is characterized by suites with star-vaulted ceilings, spaces carved from honey-colored Lecce stone, by large fireplaces, and underground granaries once used for storing grain. The entrances to the current suites overlook the external “courtyard” where it is possible to spend moments of serenity and pleasure. Like every Apulian residence, in the past, the current suites were homes and in each of them there was a fireplace to warm up and cook food; while the "courtyard" was a common meeting place where people spent their days working and helping each other.
Borgo delle Dimore is located in the historic center of Maglie, in the province of Lecce, in the heart of Salento. Maglie is one of the most charming Messapian towns in the province, known for its narrow alleys and historic Baroque buildings constructed with local Lecce stone. The position is central and strategic between the Adriatic and Ionian coasts, allowing for quick access to Lecce, to the beautiful Otranto (18 km away), to Castro - known as the Pearl of Salento (15 km), to Leuca—the “heel” of Italy (30 km), and Gallipoli.
