After a few years that we rented a vacation house in Borgo di Gaiole, we fell in love with the region. This is the reason why we have bought an apartment in the Borgo. To enjoy others with the experience we have, we started to rent out our vacation house.

Property info

Borgo di Gaiole is a beautifully located complex overlooking the village of Gaiole in the heart of the Chianti region. The luxurious Borgo consists of approximately 40 houses, built entirely along the lines of the nearby medieval village of Vertine, which is only a few kilometres from the Borgo. All apartments are made from natural stone and terracotta. The complex boasts a great location in the hearth of Chianti region with plenty of activities to experience and yet very close to the town of Gaiole with restaurants and shops within walking distance. resort "Borgo di Gaiole", terraced. A few 100 m from the centre of Gaiole in Chianti, in the residential district, area with little traffic. For shared use: swimming pool secured (27 x 9 m, 01.05.-30.09.). In the borgo: fitness room, table tennis, washing machine (for shared use). Footpath to the house. Parking. Shop, supermarket, restaurant, bakery 500 m, 5 minute walk to the centre. All houses/apartments are individually designed/furnished. There is a travel guide (digital and on paper) available with collected experiences over more than 10 years. This is available in English, Dutch and French.

Neighborhood info

Historically, Gaiole is one of the capitals of the Chianti region, famous for its amazing scenery of vineyards and olive groves. The Borgo is in the heart of the Chianti region, home to some of the best vineyards in Italy. The region is proud of its traditional cuisine, which is loved the world over. A number of medieval castles that produce their own wine, such as Castello di Brolio and Castelo Meleto, are within a 10-15 minute drive. The majority of the vineyards and olive farms sell their products direct to the public, and organise guided tours and wine tasting sessions. What is the exact reason that Forbes places Gaiole in the number one position? According to Gay Gillen of travel consultancy Brownell, “Chianti has everything in terms of mountains, vineyards, wineries, and walking tours. There is also the opportunity for horse-riding, hiking or tennis, and the food is delicious.” Apart from the fact that the countryside is beautifull, and that a tranquil, rural lifestyle prevails, it also differs greatly from other villages. Nearby attractions: Radda in Chianti 10 km, Siena 25 km, Greve in Chianti 30 km, Firenze 60 km. Hiking paths: Gaiole-Panzano 1 km.
