The B&B Cà Gennara born in an ancient '800 country house. Entirely of stone view it is structured on three levels. Rumor has it that before the Unification of Italy the area was frequented by many smugglers. Mrs Genara, who lived here at the time, started a inn for travellers to provide refreshments for them, thus giving the name to the house.
We are Marta and Daniele and we live here in the Apennines all year round. We take care of the house, the garden, the animals and our small farm. We like hosting people who enjoy hiking, cycling and discovering this less touristy part of the Apennines. We are happy to give tips about trails, restaurants and places to visit.
The area is perfect for hiking, cycling and walks through chestnut woods. Nearby you can visit Porretta Terme, with its thermal baths, restaurants, cafés and local delicatessens, as well as Lake Suviana, Rocchetta Mattei and the Corno alle Scale Regional Park, ideal for a day trip in the mountains.
