My name is Francesca and I was born in the beautiful city of Florence. Some years ago thanks to my passion for hospitality and the countryside, I moved to Chianti with my daughter Lisa who is now 17. I love the simple way of life and good cooking ( I personally cook in the kitchen together with my sister Mariella in our family trattoria.) I love to do good old fashioned home cooking and so besides the trattoria I have created a new little shop in the tiny church square of Dudda, called La Dispensa or The Pantry. In La Dispensa you will find jars of our homemade sauces, preserves and jams which make lovely gifts or are great reminders of your visit with us. We also offer other local products from our friends and acquaintances, as well as other local businesses, including handmade ceramics and wines from the best vineyards in the region. In my free time I like to tend to my own little vegetable garden, in order to be able to have the very freshest of tomatoes, salad leaves and onions - all of which I have grown myself!

In the centre of the little village of Dudda you will find my house, tucked in to the side of the main road which leads into the heart of the Chianti Classico region. My house is not a hotel, but a typical Tuscan country home, where guests who like simplicity and excellent home cooking will feel at home. We offer various accommodation ranging from room only to complete apartments and all are located in close proximity to the bar and little shop, as well as our pantry shop, our very popular trattoria with garden restaurant and of course relaxing in and around the swimming pool (open from June 1st to October 31st) There will be memories to cherish!

My little haven is ideal for those who want to stay in the Chianti hills and visit the heart of Tuscany. We are centrally located for visiting the fantastically artistic and cultural cities of Florence, Siena and Arezzo, not to mention the beautiful towns of the Chianti, such as Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, Gaiole, San Gimignano and little Volpaia, which you will find to be the epitome of Chianti and somewhere I always recommend my guests should visit; sit in the little square at Paola’s bar and tantalise your tastebuds with a huge wonderful bruschetta and a good glass of wine. We are located in the district of Greve in Chianti and every year they organise a variety of events, including country fairs, markets under the stars, concerts and of course the very famous Chianti Classico festival.
