Casa Pal Piccolo is a spacious 80 m² apartment in the centre of Paluzza 15 minutes from Zoncolan and termal baths in Arta Terme, ideal for families, couples travelling together, small groups and guests exploring the Carnian Alps. Restaurants, cafés, bars and convenience stores are within easy walking distance. The apartment offers a comfortable living room, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom, with space for 4-5 guests comfortably and we have a sofabed in the living room that opens into a 140 cm wide double bed. It is a practical base for hiking, cycling, scenic motorbike tours, skiing at Zoncolan, visiting Timau, enjoying the thermal baths in Arta Terme, discovering Carnia, or stopping near the Austrian border. Guests also have access to a small garage, suitable for storing bicycles, skis and outdoor equipment. Please note that the garage is not suitable for cars, but a large free carpark is available 50 metres from the apartment. The driveway has a deep slope, so we cannot guarantee you can drive down with a motorbike. Casa Pal Piccolo is best suited to guests who appreciate a central village location, generous space and easy access to local services for their base of hikes, skiing and exploring the area.

Our family of four escapes the heat to the mountains every summer to enjoy the fresh air and slower rhythm of alpine life. We fell in love with the Carnic Alps as soon as we first visited, and buying an apartment here was a dream come true. We love exploring the area: hikes with whistling marmots, crystal-clear lakes and natural pools, peaceful villages, and the rich history of this unique border region. We cannot spend as much time here as we would like, so we are happy to share the beauty of Carnia with our guests. Casa Pal Piccolo is located in the centre of Paluzza, an authentic mountain village in the heart of the Carnic Alps. From the apartment, guests can walk to local bars, restaurants, cafés and convenience stores, while still being perfectly placed to explore the wider Carnia region. Paluzza and its surroundings offer a beautiful mix of nature, history and alpine life. Nearby sights include Torre Moscarda and its historic bunkers, traces of the ancient Via Julia Augusta, the Great War sites around Timau and the open-air museum of Pal Piccolo/Kleiner Pal. The area is ideal for scenic walks, hiking, cycling, motorbike tours, waterfalls, mountain lakes and quiet natural pools. Casa Pal Piccolo is also a practical base for day trips: Ravascletto/Zoncolan ski area is about 9 km away, the thermal baths of Arta Terme about 8 km, the Plöcken Pass and Austrian border about 21 km, and Lake Cavazzo about 29 km. In winter, guests can enjoy skiing and snow activities; in summer, the area is perfect for fresh mountain air, hiking, swimming spots, history, local food and slow alpine living. Please note that the apartment is in a central village location, close to a local bar and a church. Smoking is only allowed on the balcony.
