Our vacation home is located between Otranto and Lecce, in the heart of the Salento countryside, less than 2 km from the sea and surrounded by olive trees. It spans about 3 hectares of olive groves and consists of 3 one-bedroom apartments and 1 studio apartment with two beds. Each apartment is equipped with a kitchenette, private bathroom, and a wooden veranda offering shaded areas to relax. The outdoor spaces are perfect for dining or unwinding, and the barbecue area, equipped with picnic tables, is available for guests. Important note: The tourist tax is not included in the price and will be paid on-site (euro 1.50 per person, per night). It applies only from June 1st to September 30th, with the following rules: June, July, September: The tax is applicable for a maximum of 7 consecutive days. August: The tax applies with no limit on the number of days. Exemptions: Children under 6, persons over 75 years old, bus drivers and tour guides, and stays during the months of January to May and October to December. Although our vacation home is located in the countryside, it is far from isolated. The SP 366, which connects San Cataldo to Otranto, is just 300 meters away. The beautiful Frassanito beaches are 1.800 meters away, and the Alimini and Baia dei Turchi beaches (Otranto’s coastal area) are 3.000 meters away. The beaches and cliffs of Torre dell'Orso and Torre Sant'Andrea (Melendugno's coastal area) are about 3/4 km away. Otranto is just 9 km away, and the stunning city of Lecce is 30 km away. The area offers plenty of outdoor activities, such as bike tours in the surrounding countryside, relaxing walks within the estate, and the opportunity to explore archaeological and tourist routes, like the ancient city of Roca, only 7 km from our home. Additionally, nearby activities include kitesurfing, windsurfing, horseback riding, trekking, paragliding, and sailing.
