Casasvedese is an Aeolian cottage with a big garden, located in the “Contrada Vizzina” area outside the village, 50 meters above sea level.
It was recently renovated. We don't offer luxury, but rather a connection with the Aeolian culture and nature.
The house is perfect for families and those who love hiking. We let our guests harvest garden fruits like tomatoes, grapes, passion fruits, lime, vegetables and spices like e.g. oregano and capers.
I am a retired Natural Sciences teacher specialized in microbiology who has worked 30 years in a K9 school in Sveede. I am the co-founder of the “Greens Eolie trekking” group here on Lipari. I have been chairman of the international Kidlink school project for 9 years.
“Now I am trying to learn my seventh language, Aramaic.
I came to Lipari for the first time when I was a 12 year old boy. My mother lived here from 1972 to 1989.
I rent the house mostly because I love to socialize and dialogue about all kinds of issues from Science to Philosophy.
We have very pleasant neighbors whom I have known for many years.
I use to present my guests to them but also to other very special islanders like eg. Massimo who is one of the three in Europe o whis able to produce tools with obsidian stones.
For those who want and can, I offer to guide my guests to do trekkings on Lipari and Vulcano e.g. to the Micenean Sauna in San Calogero and the Roman harbor in Punta Palmeto. The best time for trekking is from October to June. During summers it is possible to do some trekking after 15:00 to take e.g. a sunset swim tour or walk in two of the Lipari canyon jungles.
