The farmhouse is only the latest born among the company's activities, now in its third generation. A company that ranges from wood cutting and wood transformation activities, to agricultural and zootechnical activities with the breeding of the ancient breed of Cinta Senese, pig protected by the DOP mark.

Located in the Tuscan village of Monticiano, Casetta della Pina is a farmhouse dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, which has been restored and opened to its customers since 2012. The family-run structure has three independent apartments: Salvia, Rosmarino and Timo, each with a fully equipped kitchen, with dining table, fridge, fireplace, sitting area with sofa, flat screen TV and bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Each apartment can have an outdoor patio with dining area and deck chairs, ideal corners where you can have a meal in the open area or where you can relax reading a nice book surrounded by greenery. For the cooler evenings adjacent to each patio, in the garden you can take advantage of the outdoor fireplace and bonfire corner. The structure also has covered, private and free parking.

The Casetta della Pina is located in the center of the Val di Merse, an unspoiled area of Tuscany on the border of the provinces of Siena and Grosseto, it enjoys a strategic position with respect to the major destinations of interest such as cities of art, the Mediterranean coast, famous villages and baths and spas but still keeping away from the chaos of mass tourism. More specifically, it is located a few meters from the Ecomuseum of the Val di Merse, and a few km from the Abbey of Saint Galgano, from the Petriolo’s Baths, from the archaeological excavation of the medieval castle of Miranduolo and from the Farma and Merse Nature Reserves. Less than an hour's drive, just to list some destinations, you can reach Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni, Follonica and Castiglione della Pescaia. Siena is 38 km away. The nearest airport is Florence Airport, 102 km from La Casetta della Pina.
