I have a great passion for art, history and tecnique. I put them all together and I personally followed the restoration of our cave rooms to ensure both historical flavor and modern comfort.

Property info

The Cave House is located in Matera historical center (the Sassi), 5 minutes walk from the central square, and is completely restored as it was centuries ago. All the materials are the local ones: Matera stone, wood and terracotta, even in the bathrooms which have all an amazing shower with rock walls. The furniture where possible is the original one and includes objects of daily use. All units have independent access on a private courtyard. The location is perfect for visiting Matera. From out the door you'll have a spectacular view over the Sassi. The place is perfect for an authentic Matera experience!

Taste the real atmosphere of Matera! We are just 5 minutes walk from Matera main square, the Palombaro Lungo cistern, Casa Cava, and other famous spots. 3 to 10 minutes walk to the parking areas.
