An ancient building in the heart of the Sassi, between the Sasso Caveoso and the Sasso Barisano, in what is called the Civita because it is close to the Duomo.00
Marco and Serena ... architects and lovers of art and wonderful places like the city where we live and work.... We will be at your disposal to accompany you on this dream journey called Matera00
Centrally located in the heart of the Sassi, just outside the historic city center, 150 meters from the Duomo, the MUSMA, and Casa Noha... all the sights are just a few minutes' walk away. The Sassi, like the historic center, are a ZTL (limited traffic zone) with access during certain hours that vary with the seasons. Generally, traffic is allowed from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Parking is only permitted for two hours during permitted times. The nearest secure parking lot is on Via Vena, but from there the property can only be reached on foot (about 600 meters). My recommendation is to park on Via Satagat, about a kilometer from the property. Here you'll find free parking and a paid multi-story car park. From here, there's an excellent bus service to the Sassi. It departs from the upper level of the multi-story car park and runs every half hour from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM. It takes 5 minutes to reach the Sassi, 200 meters from the property, getting off at stop 8 (Porta Pistola). The last 200 meters are on foot, down a paved staircase, following the directions we'll provide for self-check-in. Enjoy your stay in Matera.
