Beautifully renovated, with panoramic countryside views in the green hills of Dozza, Dolce Collina is a bright 70 m² holiday home set within a private gated garden offering comfort, privacy and a serene setting. Enjoy a large terrace for sunset dinners, a fully equipped kitchen, and fast Wi-Fi. Ideal for long weekends, cycling, nature walks, wine tastings, remote work, or simply unwinding among the vineyards. Sleeps 1–4 adult guests comfortably. Perfect base to visit Imola (race circuit) and Bologna.
After entering the private gate, a tree-lined driveway leads you through the enclosed garden directly to the house, where you can park in front and arrive at your own terrace. Dolce Collina is spacious, fully renovated and newly furnished throughout, with windows on three sides bringing natural light and views over the hills, garden and vineyards.
Stepping inside, you’ll find an open living room with a cosy seating area, dining area and kitchen. A dedicated work desk and fast Wi-Fi make the home comfortable for remote work and longer stays. Complimentary coffee and tea are provided.
The private terrace is a natural extension of the living space and a lovely spot for morning coffee, evening aperitivo, sunbathing, or simply watching the light change over the hills.
The loft bedroom, reached by stairs, has a king-size double bed (with two single mattresses made up with individual bedding), plus a fold-out single bed. The sofa bed in the living room sleeps two more people, so the home works well for friends or family members travelling together, couples and solo travellers.
Please note: a car is recommended to make the most of the area. You may meet our three friendly cats wandering around in the garden and driveway. For their safety, we ask guests to drive slowly on the driveway.
Welcome! I’m happy to host you in Dozza, my home since 2002. For over 20 years I've worked as a walking and cycling guide across Europe and Asia. Meeting travellers from around the world has given me a real appreciation for genuine hospitality.
I feel fortunate to live in this beautiful corner of Italy. I love helping guests experience the real Emilia-Romagna, from scenic trails and cycling routes to hidden places, art, and the incredible cuisine and wine culture that have made Bologna the culinary capital of Italy. Here, you can enjoy the best of both worlds: close to Bologna, yet away from the crowds, discovering the authentic charm of this region.
Whether you're looking for a morning walk, a winery worth visiting or a great local restaurant, I'm always happy to share my favourite places.
Looking forward to welcoming you to Dolce Collina!
From Dolce Collina, Imola and the race circuit are just 15 minutes away by car. Bologna is about 18 minutes by train from nearby Castel San Pietro Terme station, or 35–40 minutes by car. Bologna Airport is about the same drive. Ravenna, Modena, Florence, and the Ferrari and Lamborghini museums all make easy day trips.
Dolce Collina lies in the quiet hills just a few minutes from Dozza, one of Italy's official "Most Beautiful Villages". Dozza is famous for its painted medieval streets, where colourful murals turn the village into an open-air art gallery, and for its hilltop fortress, home to the regional wine cellar of Emilia-Romagna. The area lies at the heart of the Sangiovese di Romagna wine region.
Scenic hikes and mountain-bike trails start directly from the house. A local riding stable about 150 metres away offers western-style horseback riding, a memorable way to experience the landscape.
The lively town of Imola has elegant architecture, green parks and is home to the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, where exciting races, concerts and international events take place throughout the year.
Whether you're visiting Bologna for a trade fair, attending a race weekend, or planning a longer stay, Dolce Collina combines easy access with the relaxed pace of life in Dozza.
