Set amongst a large property of palms, vineyards, prickly pears and olive trees near the majestic Temple of Segesta and the SPA Terme Segestane, Egesta is a country villa, plus a separate summer house, surrounded by 20.000 sq.meters of cultivated land with the kind of peace and quiet that inspires complete and total relaxation. Large private pool with bubble corner and swimming machine for summer leisure. Heat pump and a fireplace for winter comfort. Unlimited WiFi, satellite Tv with Chromecast, DVD, Stereo. A lot of organic fruits (pears, figs, raisins, prickly pears, apples, pomegranates, oranges) in the property: collect as many you want! The main house has an open plan living room with kitchen, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room/kitchen leads directly onto a covered terrace with a hanging bed, a barbecue, wood oven, a large dining table and gas heaters for the spring and autumn evenings. A 50 meters path brings to the summer house, a separate little house with a double bedroom and a bathroom, and a little terrace over the rural panorama. September - October: Zibibbo, UvaItalia grapes in the vineyard; Olive picking experience, contact the host for details.

Welcome in Egesta! I hope that you will enjoy your stay, relaxing and touring around. I am a Lawyer, but I love my family-land San Giovanni and I try to spend there most of my time, as there is always a lot of work to do. In my profile photo I am looking at the new oil coming from the press. In the land surrounding Egesta, in fact, we produce also extra virgin olive oil, and I will be glad to leave in the villa a sample to taste it. You can have all the fruits growing in the land, depending on the season: Citrus trees all the winter, with some trees producing oranges and tangerine perfectly juicy until may, lemons, pears in My-June, prickly pears and figs in august, raisin in September-October. And newly pressed oil, of course, from mid October! I planted rosemary, basil, persil, sage, thyme, all around the villa, while mint and strawberry are around the pool.

Palermo airport: 65km-40miles-45mins Trapani airport: 43km-36miles-30mins Calatafimi (closest town): 4 km-2,2miles-5 mins Segesta, (one of the best preserved temple in the world and a greek open air active theatre offering a dense summer season that includes night-until-dawn pieces) : 8km-5miles-10mins Scopello beach and the spectacular 'Tonnara di Scopello' setting to many film and fictions: 27km-16.5miles-35mins Lo Zingaro Nature Reserve - the best hiking trail in Sicily:45mins San Vito lo Capo (sandy beach): 74km-45 miles-1hour Trapani (town and hydrofoils to Egadi islands): 45km-30miles-40mins Erice: 47km-28.7miles-40mins Marsala, on the south coast, where you can see a perfectly maintained Punic ship, recently found in the Stagnone: 58km-35miles-1hour Terme Segestane SPA with hot water pool: 14 km - 15mins Selinunte, greek archeological town with three temples: one hour Mothia, Phoenician archaeological site, a small island set in the middle of the 'Stagnone' lagoon, with its museum. Story, culture, nature, leisure at your will!
