My name is Simone, I come from the North of Italy, but I fell in love with Ferentino and its architecture, so I moved here to start an adventure with Ferentino B&B. I will be pleased to host you in my brand-new place, which I personally designed and looked over during the recent makeover works. I love taking care of travellers, as sharing stories is very valuable to me. Here you will learn about the magnificent history of Ferentino and of its cyclopean foundations, which mystery I have been trying to unravel for years. I am a local food and wine enthusiast, so that I could be a nice guide through the area's best specialties. Ferentino is strategically located in the middle of a beautiful area which features breath-taking ancient town and fortresses, millennia-old churches and abbeys, as well as world-class, perfectly preserved, ancient megalithic acropolis where local populations have been dwelling since prior the foundation of ancient Rome! Besides its amazing walls, Ferentino features quite rare buildings that survived from the time of the ancient Rome and two graceful sacred building from the 12th and 13th century, respectively. The surrounding area boast rare jewels as well, such as the ancient and magnificent Acropolis of Alatri, the Anagni Cathedral with its unique, frescoed Saint Magnus' crypt and the medieval fortress-town of Fumone. Who looks for a dive in natural landscapes, will find in the Hernics range a great spot for mountain-biking, hiking and climbing.
