The small village of Makari, just 4 km from San Vito Lo Capo, is immersed in almost untouched nature, between the colors of the mountains and those of the sea. Here it is possible to spend a relaxing and peaceful holiday, away from chaos and everyday life. The Gulf of Makari is a vast natural inlet that runs from the eastern side of Monte Cofano to San Vito Lo Capo. Along the Makari coast it is possible to enjoy the unspoiled beauty of Santa Margherita beach, the various coves between the rocks where the sea is crystal clear and the "Cala Bue Marino" beach, made up exclusively of pebbles. Despite its small size, la Cala is much appreciated by beachgoers, having received the title of most beautiful beach in Italy in 2015. The beach is located just below the belvedere, accessible by car, just before arriving in San Vito Lo Capo. The beach is the perfect place to watch the sunset, which is truly unique in this part of Sicily. The water deepens gradually, which makes it also a suitable beach for children.
