The property is run by the MIGNOLLI family. Alessandro has always been very active on the Florentine tourist-hotel accommodation scene and when he finished school decided to follow his grand-father suggestion to become a “small entrepreneur” like he did in the leather business in the 1960. So, with the help of his family Alessandro started his own journey in the tourism business in December 2006/ January 2007 after finding and renovating an apartment and settling there IL SALOTTO DI FIRENZE. In December 2019, after almost 13 years, Alessandro and his wife Francesca agreed to work together and, they founded their own company DIFIRENZE SAS DI MIGNOLLI A. & C. The Company is specialized in rentals in the leisure and tourism business. The commercial division called “DiFIRENZE.EU: Guest Houses & Apartments” includes IL SALOTTO DI FIRENZE and another apartment “DiFIRENZE-Apartment”.

Located in Florence’s historic centre, IL SALOTTO DI FIRENZE-Guest House offers elegant air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi. It is just 120mt. from Florence’s Duomo and a 5-minute walk from the Uffizi Gallery. IL SALOTTO DI FIRENZE is located on the first floor (with elevator) of a 19th century building. Each room is equipped with a flat screen Smart TV with satellite receiver, room fridge and private electronic safe. Some units have a seating area to relax after a busy day. You will find a selection of coffees and teas in the camera while a kettle and drinking water dispenser are available in our shared kitchen / lounge area together with microwave oven and oven. Each room has its own private bathroom with toilet, bidet, shower, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries. Extras include slippers, toothbrush, sewing kit, and more. The structure has wooden floors and light colors for a design that respects the past but looks to the future. We are a Guest House and we are not allowed to serve breakfast.

The nineteenth century palazzo which hosts Our rooms has been renovated several times over the years, but mainly during the second half of the nineteenth century when Florence was the capital of Italy when this spaces were used as residences for the Officers that used to work in the “Uffizi” (that means “Offices”) where the Government had its own employees. The façade of the palace which hosts the guest house, fully satisfies the historical-artistic requisites and for that is subject to the restrictions imposed by the Ministry of the Cultural Heritage because of its architectural characteristics. We are just a stone’s throw from the very central Piazza San Giovanni and Piazza Duomo where the world-renowned Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral (Duomo) with its Bell Tower by Giotto are. All major attractions are at walking distance and we are happy to help our guests with reservations for the Uffizi and Accademia. Close to us there are many convenient restaurants coffee shops and city centre supermarkets. The central market "San Lorenzo" is at 5 minutes walk. At arrival we will be happy to help you with the best tips to enjoy your stay in Florence.
