La Sovana is a family-run farm stay in Southern Tuscany. The property is stunning with nice views of our vineyards and typical Tuscan hills.You enter the property through a long gravel driveway lined with cypress trees. La Sovana has many amenities including a hot tub, pool (not heated), 2 tennis courts, bocce court, restaurant, free parking and numerous places where you can sit to relax, read or enjoy a glass of our wine. Rooms here at La Sovana are air-conditioned and come with a minibar, satellite TV and private bathroom. The apartments include a kitchenette with fridge and tea/coffee maker. The restaurant serves local specialties such as game and home made pasta, together with our estates red and white wines. Our guests can enjoy strolling around the gardens or exploring the nearest city of Sarteano by bicycle or just walking through the vines. Sports lovers will appreciate the 2 tennis courts. We are organizing for all the guests a visit in our winery and vineyards and a wine tasting of some of our wines and olive oil. Our Agriturismo is 3 km from the A1 Autostrada del Sole motorway. Montepulciano and Lake Trasimeno are both a 30-minute drive away.

Sarteano is a charming medieval hamlet located on a plateau between the Val d'Orcia and Valdichiana. An area rich in breathtaking views, the town of Sarteano has been inhabited since ancient times. Indeed, it boasts some of the area's most important Etruscan tombs in Tuscany. Much of the Etruscan artifacts found in the area are now part of the permanent collection of the Etruscan Museum of Sarteano. The town's 5th century castle is an important example of the towns medieval origins. Among the noteworthy buildings in the town are the church of San Martino in Foro; the Collegiate Church dedicated to San Lorenzo and Sant'Apollinare; the Palazzo Comunale; Palazzo Piccolomini; Palazzo Goti-Fanelli and Palazzo Cennini; and the Teatro degli Arrischianti. Every year, on August 15, the town holds the Joust of the Saracens, an exciting medieval joust on horseback of medieval origins. A few kilometres from the historic centre, across uncontaminated forests and woods, visitors can reach the fortified Abbey of Spineto and the medieval village of Castiglioncello sul Trinoro.
