Scott & Angus - From Hong Kong to Italy. Our real journey began in 2014 when we exchanged vows and embarked on a shared adventure, we call our 'Love Adventure'. We spent over 22 years working in the bustling city of Hong Kong - Scott as a pilot for large international airline, and Angus as a civil servant. Our lives were fuelled by our passion for travel, exploration and scuba diving and together, we explored far-flung corners of the globe, seeking new horizons. ​ In 2015 we "discovered" Tuscany and that would change the course of our lives forever. The landscapes, cuisine, wines and weather coupled with warmth received from the residents. This is where our next chapter began with the purchase of our charming farmhouse and vineyard in 2020. We have been working incredibly hard to renovate our home and farm since then and are super excited to welcome you.

La Torre is a brand new, unique organic vineyard & farm stay in the middle of Tuscany, close to the UNESCO world heritage site of San Gimignano. You can easily access all of the major Tuscan sites by easy day trips, such as Siena, Florence, Pisa, Volterra. We have 8 guest rooms, each uniquely created and inspired by an animal of Tuscany. All the furniture and bathroom mosaics are custom made by local artisans. If you want to relax, we have a heated swimming pool & jacuzzi on site. Although we don't have a restaurant, we host 3 events per week for our guests. Either a pizza and focaccia making class on Tuesdays, an outdoor cinema in the garden with a Hot Tuscan Picnic on Thursdays, or an all day pool side BBQ with whole roasted pig or lamb on Sundays. We pride ourselves in that we are almost entirely solar powered with our energy efficient design as a founding principle. We also recycle waste water on site to reuse in other areas of the property. The room rate includes daily farmers breakfast with a cold buffet and a la carte hot dishes, a daily aperitif, in room minibar, use of electric bikes and we have electric car charging on site. Explore or savour our wine, olive oil and honey all on site.

La Torre is located in the heart of Tuscany. We are just 2km outside of the thermal spa town of Gambassi, on the path of the Via Francigena as it passes through the middle of our vineyard. If you continue walking our very scenic section of the Via Francigena, you will reach the famous medieval towers of San Gimignano in just over 2 hours; or a 20 minute countryside drive.​ Nestled, very privately in the rolling hills, we are also less than 1 hour drive to all the major Tuscan cities: Florence, Pisa, Siena & Volterra. All 7 of Tuscany's UNESCO world heritage sites are easily accessible day trips, in addition to many other cultural or nature based activities in Tuscany, making us your perfect home away from home to explore, relax and savour a delicious glass of our own wine, in our garden with the sounds of the trickling stream, or next to the outdoor jacuzzi & pool. In all directions you will find the most delicious restaurants, vineyards, wine tasting, medieval towns or quaint villages to explore. The absolute best of Tuscany surrounds us.
